The Dolphin Scholarship is a fund that provides undergraduate financial assistance for children and stepchildren of the submarine force. Currently, 117 students receive a $2,000 or $3,400 scholarship and they can do so for up to eight semesters. The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $11,000,000 to more than 1,200 students attending universities and colleges through the United States.
Wounded Warrior Project
The vision of the Wounded Warrior Project is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. WWP does this by raising awareness and enlisting the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
K-9 for Warriors
K9s for Warriors is committed to providing service canines to warriors suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post 9/11. The main goal is to empower our veterans to return to civilian life with dignity and independence. In 2015 alone $5.5 million was raised and 64 dogs were rescued. To date, there is a total of 236 service dogs that are helping veterans today.
